Mera Peak Climbing

The Mera Peak Climb is an incredible trekking experience in Nepal allowing one to climb to the top of a high Himalayan peak (6476 m). From here, one can view some the highest mountains in the world including Mt.Everest (8848 m), Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Lhotse (8501 m), Cho Oyu (8201 m) and Makalu (8481 m). The gorgeous sunrise on Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga as seen from the slopes of Mera Peak is something that will be remembered forever. This trek is a good choice for those who want to be challenged and to take part in a true Himalayan climbing adventure. Along with the stunning scenery, the culture, tradition and abundant hospitality of the Himalayan Sherpa people will make this trip an unforgettable experience.

Mera peak is located in the Barun National Park in mystifying Hinku valley. The adventure begins with a short and exciting mountain flight to Lukla following the Hinku valley. An acclimatization program is incorporated into the trek to help prevent altitude sickness. Climbing Mera Peak itself is not technically challenging but it is physically demanding due to ascending snow slopes at significant altitude. This trek, however, may be most suitable for those with some past climbing or Nepalese trekking experience. The trails are in good condition for most of the route up to basecamp at Khare. On the way to the mountain itself, the trek passes through lush green fields and dense forests, and crosses bridges over streaming torrents of water. All of this and more make this Mera Peak Climb an unforgettable adventure. Our itinerary is specially designed to ensure your safety, to provide adequate altitude acclimatization, and to maximize your chance to summit Mera Peak.
